What is the best part about being a REACH Scholar?

The best part of being a REACH Scholar is having the opportunity to give back to our community. Especially the individuals who donated their money to contribute for our scholarship. They do all they can to make sure they have the expenses for us and it is such a blessing to know that our community does not mind helping us. For example, we hold a REACH gala each year for our new students who join the program. We, as scholars, help serve our guests and sponsors to make sure they are satisfied because they most definitely deserve it.

How have you benefited from your involvement with REACH?

I have gained knowledge that will be with me throughout life. I have also developed confidence and self-assurance that I can be the best leader I can be. I have earned many opportunities through this program and I am forever grateful. With this program, I have bettered my networking and public speaking skills.

How has your future outlook changed since becoming a REACH Scholar?

My future outlook has changed because I know without this program, I would not be the person I am today. Ever since being in the program, I have become more productive with my studies and I know I have to continuously work hard because being a REACH Scholar is a privilege. I am more appreciative for this position because it has humbled me in multiple ways.
